Founded in December 2024, Buon Appetito Pizzeria was established by Italian owners who came from Milano to Edmonton, bringing with them a passion for authentic Italian cuisine and traditional recipes.
Formerly known as Moon Café & Pizza, the restaurant continues under the same ownership, with the same dedicated team, trusted recipes, and unwavering commitment to quality that guests have always enjoyed—now with a renewed identity rooted in true Italian heritage. We offer a refined Italian dining experience from morning to night, complemented by the convenience of takeout, delivery, and easy online ordering.

Our focus is simple—exceptional quality and true flavour. We use premium ingredients sourced from Italy, including Fior di Latte mozzarella, specialty flours, and carefully selected meats and sauces, ensuring every bite reflects authentic Italian tradition.

The best pizza 🍕 and sandwiches 🥪. The ambiance is great and the service was excellent. The food and drinks were great. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The owner is European trained. Ingredients are imported from Europe and the quality shows. The taste is amazing and food was served hot when it was supposed to be. I cannot say enough as to how the experience was. My wife and I along with the parents loved everything about this place. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying the food and drinks and desserts.

The Owner Remembers You

The owner remembered us after the first visit. The pizza is all made from scratch and with the finest ingredients. The meat and cheese platter was delicious, the drinks were unreal and the desserts were made with love. We truly felt like family, the restaurant has a cozy feel, do yourselves a favor and check it out.

Have never even heard of this place, I’m celiac and was googling gluten friendly restaurants and this one came up. Wonderful place, food was very good, owner and family were excellent. Such a cute place, will definitely be coming back, and highly recommend to anyone else!

Pizza Is Amazing!

I've been coming here since it opened. Their pizza is amazing! It's flavourful, pleasently fragrant and perfectly cooked. I also enjoy their coffees and cocktails. It's a very cute place to go for some lunch and the staff are very friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Absolutely Delicious

I love me a calzone, and finding a good one is always a struggle. I'd never heard for this place before and my friend suggested it to try out and holy hell was she right. The Chai we started with was bold and warmed me to my bones, absolutely delicious, so much so I ordered a second one. I got the Calzone and the absolute belnd of flavors was immaculate. Nothing overpowering, everything working in symphony. I don't know who they source their ingredients from but I need to find out because each individual component was amazing, ESPECIALLY the mozzarella. The sauce I think was the best I've ever heard from any restaurant in all my existence.
10/10 full points, go here.

We celebrated my brother’s birthday party here, and it was such a great experience! We started with the bruschetta and wings both were absolutely delicious. There’s a big selection on the menu, especially for pizzas. We ordered the Signature BBQ, Hawaiian, and Capricciosa pizza, all authentic Italian thin crust, and every bite was full of flavor and was packed with taste. The cocktails were too good and paired perfectly with the food. The service was excellent friendly, attentive, and made the celebration even better. Highly recommend for a special night out or any gathering. Definitely coming back soon

Very Cosy

I loved it here. It’s very cozy, I love the wooden furniture it gives it a home feel. I had a the caprese panini and it was so delicious. The bread to me is superb, very fresh and soft. A perfect consistency. My husband had the beef pizza and he loved it. My latte was also made very well. I would definitely come back. I would have pictures but it would be of empty plates!

Moon Cafe & Pizza exceeded all of our expectations with their mouth-watering menu and delightful atmosphere. We ordered the meat lover pizza, pesto chicken pizza, and prosciutto pizza, all of which were packed full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The cocktails were expertly crafted and the Carne formaggio appetizer were a perfect start to our meal.
To top it all off, the desserts were absolutely divine. The Best part was everything is homemade. The service was top-notch and the owners were very friendly and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. We will definitely be returning to for more delicious meals in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

This place was absolutely lovely. Staff were happy and eager to assist. A little bread/oil appetizer was provided before we even made food orders so we could snack. I got a hot mocha, very yummy, not too sweet. It was in the most adorable cup I’ve ever seen Lol(see photos). We will certainly be back. Portions were fantastic on the meat lovers pizza-absolutely loaded with toppings. The vibe inside is relaxing and welcoming. Definitely check this place out. Perfect little spot and reasonable prices.

My husband and I came here for the first time tonight and we were very pleased.
The cafe itself has a very comforting and homey atmosphere.
The customer service was wonderful, they were very inviting and attentive. The owner came to the front to chat with us after our meal to make sure we were satisfied, making it such a personal experience.
This is one of the BEST pizzas that we’ve had in the city. They definitely put a lot of love in to cooking the food. The pizzas had the perfect amount of toppings and the crust was light, crispy and chewy.
Overall, We adored this cafe and 100% would come back again and again, I’m already looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Ultimate Italian Panini

✨Great friendly staff. Got to watch the hockey game on a big TV. We dined in and got restaurant service. They have a nice selection on their menu. They gave us mini toast with olive oil & a great homemade balsamic as a starter with our meal. My panini was delectable and I highly recommend it, I got the ultimate Italian panini and wow! My favourite panini I have ever had. They also have nice decorations. You can take cute photos there. They have a lot of beautiful homemade desserts, I got the tiramisu with mascarpone. My iced coffee was great as well, I got the biscoff one and it tasted like biscoff and wasn't too sweet which is how I like it. We will be back for the lunch special. ✨
